Dahulu, sebuah gereja yang kelihatan suram di sebuah pekan kecil, kini berubah menjadi bangunan yang indah dan menarik hasil usaha seorang paderi, Fr Clement Lim.

Dalam usahanya untuk menambah baik gereja, beliau mendapat kerjasama dari umat Malaysia Timur dan penduduk tempatan sehingga menjadikan gereja usang, bertukar menjadi gereja yang cantik, besar dan gah. Pada Jun 17, gereja itu meraikan tiga perayaan besar iaitu Pesta Hati Kudus Yesus, Hari Bapa dan Pesta Gawai/Kaamatan.

Misa bermula pada pukul 7.00 malam selepas novena Hati Kudus Yesus, diikuti pemberkatan untuk para bapa dan god-fathers. Mereka menerima hadiah istimewa selepas upacara memotong kek. Fr Clement memberkati makanan dan semua orang pergi ke kantin untuk menikmati makan bersama. Mereka yang datang gembira dapat meraikan persahabatan melalui kerja keras penganjur.
