Trips to Louisiana will be on the table for the Pinto all-stars, who will send two teams from this weekend's play
Several Kingwood 8U ballplayers did the same thing Friendswood's did during the long lightning delay at Renwick Park and that was talk to people from the back of the dugout.Well, there was going to be a lot of Saturday baseball planned at Renwick Park anyway this weekend. Now there's going to be a little more.
The scheduled 8 p.m. contests have been postponed until Saturday morning, while the 6 p.m. contests underwent a long lightning delay. The Friendswood White 8U Pinto all-stars and Kingwood had their game stopped in the sixth and final inning, but when it resumed, Kingwood rallied from a 14-13 deficit to claim a 15-14 victory.
Friendswood White now has a long road to travel if it wants to reach Sunday's championship game at noon and bag that Louisiana trip. Friendswood Blue now opposes Kingwood on Saturday. It was scheduled for 10 a.m., but again that time may have gotten pushed back.
