That’s a good number of people who may come to our game. DeSoto and South Oak Cliff and Southlake Carroll and Allen, we have players on our team from those schools, and they are playing. Last season, SMU had one Thursday game and two Friday games, but two of those were on the road and a Friday home game against North Texas in November was played in the first week of the UIL playoffs. The THSCA just wants to protect its regular season games, and Martin said the THSCA has even talked to commissioners from the SEC, Conference USA and the American Athletic Conference in an attempt to sway their scheduling decisions.
