Archaeologists have uncovered a 3000-year-old sword at a burial site in southern Germany. 9News

The sword is so well preserved that it still gleams, according to a statement from the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments.

It was left in a grave containing the remains of three people—a man, a woman and a young person—who were buried shortly after one another, the statement continues. It is not clear what their relationship was, but they were buried with a rich array of grave goods.Archaeologists have found a pre-Hispanic mummy surrounded by coca leaves on top of a hill in Peru's capital next to the practice field of a professional soccer club.

He said old fly eggs were found next to the male skeleton, leading them to believe the body was exposed for at least several days before being covered with dirt.
