1. Beyond setting the tone for a possible meeting in the Western Conference finals, the Golden Knights and the Stars each has unresolved business. As a result, expect playoff intensity from the opening faceoff with two 100-point teams. With three games remaining, Las Vegas leads Edmonton by three points in the Pacific Division. The Stars remain in a three-way race with Colorado and Minnesota in the Central Division.

It’s a small sample size but since being recalled from Texas, defenseman Thomas Harley is plus-4 in his two Stars games. “Pretty confident, pretty smooth,” coach Pete DeBoer said. “It looks like a seamless transition. He makes our group better.” Defensive partner Colin Miller has a two-game goal streak.
3. The Stars received mixed news on injuries Friday. Center Roope Hintz did not skate with a lower-body injury that caused him to miss the Philadelphia win. DeBoer said Hintz will likely be a game-time decision. Mason Marchment practiced with the Stars on Friday. “I’m still hopeful to see him before the end of the regular season,” DeBoer said.
