Three teens charged with second-degree murder in man's death Sunday
In an interview on Monday, Dakota Favel said he remembers Shedane and their sister would make Snapchat videos of themselves dancing and Shedane would do impressions of Jim Carrey from the movie The Mask.“We’re still in shock, we’re in disbelief.”Three teens, whose identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are charged with second-degree murder.
Police said the incident happened in an east-west alley behind a pharmacy in the 1500 block of 20th Street West. They are asking the victim of the robbery — who was riding a bicycle and was able to flee the area — to come forward.Their grandmother, Pauline Favel, described Shedane as a kind, loving person, who would help anyone.The family is making arrangements to bring Shedane’s remains home to Île-à-la-Crosse, and another relative has set up a fundraiser to accept donations.
