These three South African airports have claimed coveted 2024 Skytrax World Airport Awards. Can you guess which ones?
. A ceremony was hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, this week in which the world’s best airports were honoured in various categories. Skytrax has been running the World Airline and Airport Star Rating system for 25 years.
Since 1999 it has evaluated airlines and airports based on quality and service. Ranking first globally is Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar. Next is Singapore’s Changi Airport in second place. And Seoul Incheon Airport in South Korea completes the podium places.Cape Town International Airport has been awarded best airport in Africa. The top three South African airports are Cape Town International Airport, King Shaka International Airport in KwaZulu-Natal, and OR Tambo International Airport in Gauteng. They each won awards in the highly sought-after competition.This is the ninth consecutive year Cape Town was named best airport in Africa. And fourth year in a row for best airport staff on the continent.says these are coveted accolades for airports across the world, and a global benchmark of airport excellence.

Singapore’s Changi Airport also wins Best Airport in Asia and the World’s Best Airport Immigration Service. Seoul Incheon Airport is also named the World’s Most Family Friendly Airport.
