KUALA LUMPUR: The implementation of an open payment system at toll booths will involve the cooperation of three ministries, says Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.
The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister said that discussions with the Transport Ministry and Works Ministry are well underway.
Salahuddin said this at a press conference after launching convenience store chain 99 Speed Mart's Hari Raya promotion campaign Payung Rahmah initiative on Thursday . On March 21, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced that motorists would be allowed to pay toll using credit or debit cards on five roads by September.
