Gareth Rigby, Daniel Robinson and Hazma Mohammed appeared before a judge this morning
Three men appeared in court this morning in connection with violent disorder that broke out in Bolton yesterday.
This morning , three men appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court following the chaotic scenes in Bolton yesterday. Gareth Rigby, 43, of Masefield Drive in Bolton, was fined after he admitted a single charge of using threatening words or behaviour. The court heard Rigby has 15 previous convictions for 23 offences including being drunk and disorderly last year. David Philpott, defending, told the court his client had spent one night in police custody and that it was not an offence which could attract a prison sentence.
Prosecutor Mr Cooper applied for the defendant to be remanded in custody. His solicitor David Philpott urged the court to grant bail with conditions.
