Manila Mayor Francisco

“Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Tuesday ordered three barangays to be placed under enhanced community quarantine starting June 17 for 48 hours.

In his city address, Domagoso said he signed three executive orders placing Barangay 60 in Zone 5, Barangay 163 in Zone 14, and Barangay 844 in Zone 92 under ECQ from 12 a.m. on Friday, June 19 until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. According to the city mayor’s executive orders, the imposition of ECQ was requested by the barangays’ officials themselves.

During this period, members of the Manila Health Department will be conducting disease surveillance, verification, and testing, and rapid risk assessment to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease-2019 in the areas. According to the executive orders, there are 10 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Barangay 60, 22 cases in Barangay 163, and two cases in Barangay 844.
