Three people have died and 17 others have been transported to hospital to have their injuries attended to after a freak wave at the eThekwini beachfront in Durban swept them out to sea on Saturday.
According to Emergency Medical Services’ Robert Mckenzie, paramedics treated the 17 victims at the scene before transporting them to nearby hospitals. At the time of writing, the victims were in a “serious and critical condition.” Read more on these topics
