Readers appreciate those who brought SMU into the ACC; praise the values learned from being a Boy Scout; and loved the Cowboys schedule preview by David Moore and Michael Hogue.

It’s the day a sleeping giant got tossed into the mix like croutons on top of a salad.
I will always remember this day! On behalf of the entire SMU community, I want to thank David Miller , R. Gerald Turner , Rick Hart and the rest of the leadership team for what they have just accomplished for SMU, Dallas and the region. The invitation to join the ACC will forever be recognized as one of the single most important events in SMU’s long history.Personally, as David’s former basketball teammate, roommate and close friend for over 50 years, I want to thank him in particular.
