PITTSBURG — Three people suspected of having a role in a Fourth of July fatal shooting that killed a man were arrested early Thursday, bringing to five the number of people arrested for the shooting, police said.
Pittsburg police officers, supported by detectives from the FBI and a SWAT team, arrested 26-year-old Israel Dezama, 21-year-old Maxamillion Holiday, and 21-year-old Abraham Gomez about 5 a.m., according to a statement from Pittsburg police.Crime and Public Safety |Oakland gang member cut off parole ankle monitor on mission to avenge brother’s death, police claim
Police did not say on what specific crimes the three were suspected to have committed but did say that all three were arrested in connection to the slaying of Markel Benson-Braggs. Officers found Benson-Braggs with at least one gunshot wound at the intersection of W. 10th Street and West Street on July 4. He died at the scene.
