SAN ANTONIO - Multiple people are in jail for running a suspected gambling ring just minutes from an elementary school on the Northeast Side. The raid happened Monday at a building off Lakeview Drive near North Foster Road, just a 10-minute walk from Paschall Elementary. According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Harold Jo Splece, Jocelyn Soto and Paula Soto were all arrested. They all face several charges, including engaging in organized criminal activity.Investigators don't believe this gambling ring is tied to other gambling operations. They say operations likes this typically prey on people with fixed incomes hoping to win big.
