Three Alor Gajah council personnel claim trial to graft charges

They had been together for 16 years.

MELAKA : Three Alor Gajah Municipal Council workers claimed trial at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court here to accepting bribes from an advertising contractor as inducements to secure supply works tendered by the local council.

Tan, a customer service officer, faces two charges of allegedly receiving cash bribes amounting to RM2,000 between Jan 1 and 14 last year, and RM2,500 between Feb 1 and 10 last year. Suhana, a clerical assistant at MPAG's corporate and community service department, is facing four counts of receiving bribes, also in the form of cash, amounting to RM800, RM600, RM200, and RM300 between April 10, 2022 and April 18 last year.
