BUCKEYE, AZ — There will be a heightened police presence at Verrado High School again Friday after an overnight threat.
Buckeye Police say so far, they have not identified any credible threat to the school, but there will be more officers at the school for precautionary reasons. It comes a day after a student was detained when a gun was found inside a vehicle at the school Thursday. Buckeye police say they received information about a student that was believed to have brought a gun to school on Wednesday. Additional information also led police to believe another student had a gun on campus Thursday as well. That second student was detained, and a gun was found in the student's vehicle, according to police.Police have not said if the student detained will face any potential charges as they continue to investigate.
