SEOUL: Thousands of Protestant church members in Seoul have been asked to quarantine, South Korean authorities said Monday , as the country battles virus clusters linked to religious groups and warned of a COVID-19 looming"crisis".

The largest current cluster is centred on the Sarang Jeil Church in Seoul, headed by a controversial conservative pastor who is a leading figure in protests against President Moon Jae-in. As in the earlier case, authorities are facing some reluctance to cooperate and difficulty in tracking some of the members of the congregation.600 CHURCH MEMBERS UNACCOUNTED
