The start of the Wounded Warrior Project's annual 'Carry Forward 5K' race will be held on Nov. 4 at 8 a.m. on Belfort Road.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Nov. 4, more than 1,000 runners will gather on Belfort Road in Jacksonville for a good cause.
The 'Carry Forward 5K' race acts as a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project and competitors in the race can choose to run the race with a flag, a set of weights or even another person on their back to signify the weight that veterans carry with them every day.on Saturday to preview the race. Runners can register for the Carry Forward 5K as late as the day of the race! The race will begin at 8 a.m. at the Wounded Warrior Project's headquarters, located at 4899 Belfort Rd.
Money raised in the Carry Forward 5K is used to fund programs to benefit veterans throughout the year. Wounded Warrior Project has programs to help veterans in a variety of factors from adaptive sports, job placement and health & wellness.
