Hundreds of potatoes scattered, smothered and covered the side of Interstate 95 on Wednesday. The load of potatoes met its mash when it got embroiled in a multi-car pileup. Drivers were urged to keep their eyes peeled. No injuries were reported.
Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 North in St. Johns County caused semi to dump potatoes on the side of the interstate– Thousands of potatoes scattered, smothered and covered the side of Interstate 95 on Wednesday following a multi-vehicle crash that shut down lanes for hours.
All northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were closed following the crash around 12:30 p.m. and reopened just after 2:30 p.m. By 1:30 p.m., traffic was backed up near the Flagler County line so FHP diverted to SR-206. Southbound lanes were also backed up.
