“It was a real con job,” Baird said. “The guy was stringing us along.” He did not produce the shirts or refund the money that was paid up front, he said.The coalition is very frugal and keeps very little in its “war chest,” he said. Most of what is left after paying bills is donated to law enforcement agencies and volunteer fire companies, he said.
