Devotees came and went, but their footwear stayed behind 🩴👞👠👟
An unusual problem occurred the day after Thaipusam for the cleaning crew as thousands of footwear were left unclaimed in Batu Caves.It was estimated that 3,000 kg to 5,000 kg of footwear were left outside the temple and all of it were later thrown out by the cleaning crew.
He also stated that from now the devotees should leave their footwear in their vehicles to avoid such troubles. The high volume of visitors and the difficulty to move in and out of the temple resulted in people throwing rubbish randomly.
