High-end eyewear was stolen from Nicholas Protz's store for the fourth time in the last two months.
Nicholas Protz's Eye Elegance was broken into three times in one week last month. More recently, someone stole a pair of glasses while the store was open.and he's still recovering. His store in the Galleria area was broken into twice and the Montrose location was hit once.
“Around 5:38 ... he entered the store with what looked like a bag of cash to make a purchase,” Protz said. “And when he found out the frame was more expensive than what he had cash for, decided just to run out the store with it.”“The piece this young man stole retails for $8,500,” Protz said.Thieves caught on camera breaking into multiple locations of high-end Houston eyewear storeNow, he worries another theft is going to impact his insurance.
