Thousands of acres were burning in north-central Texas on Thursday, destroying buildings and prompting evacuations in some cities.
Around 7:30 p.m., over 13,000 acres were burning across Brown and Eastland counties, about 110 miles west of Fort Worth,Evacuation order for northwest Abilene from south of West Hwy 80 to north of Military Drive and from west of Arnold Blvd to Market Street. A large grass fire is spreading eastward.
