KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the public have begun flocking to the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil here since 5pm to attend the “Malaysia Stands with Palestine” rally tonight. Participants came wearing white clothes to show their solidarity with the Palestinians who have suffered from the brutal attacks by Israel.The Jalur Gemilang and the Palestinian flag could be seen everywhere, with the crowd chanting “Free Palestine”.
The rally officially began with mass Maghrib prayers and solat hajat to pray for the wellbeing of the people of Palestine, followed by a series of speeches on the history and development of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.The recent clashes in Palestine involving Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza, and the Israeli regime have resulted in the loss of thousands of lives on both sides since Oct 7.
