A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 225 near Colorado 83 in Arapahoe County early Friday morning, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Troopers responded to the crash at 1:13 a.m. and found the pedestrian, a 34-year-old man from Thornton, was dead at the scene. Investigators determined the driver of a Ford Econoline struck the man and then fled on foot, CSP officials said in a news release.
