A Thor cosplay brings War of the Realms to life.
A cosplayer has decided to recreate Thor’s legendary pose as seen on the cover of the final issue of “The War of the Realms” comic book saga. The resulting image is nothing short of amazing, a fitting tribute to a fan-favorite cover art from the previous decade.

A massive Thor fan, fazgardian makes no secret of his love for the God of Thunder and the “War of the Realms” storyline. As he states in the Instagram post, the cover art for Thor #15 happens to be his favorite Thor comic book cover of all time.
Like Del Mundo, fazgardian needed creative help to bring his homage to life. In his Instagram post, he tips his hat to simcosplay.official for letting him wear the Thor costume used in the photo. To complete the God of Thunder look, he used a winged helmet fashioned by prop maker reedspropsplus. Then he joined forces with pixelens._ for the photography and subsequent editing. pixelens.
The Cover of Thor #15 Leaps Off the Page The result does speak for itself – the final product is incredibly faithful to Del Mundo’s original 2019 cover art. At first glance, an observer might think they’re looking at the cover of Thor #15. It’s only when looking at the details that the differences become apparent. fazgardian’s take features Asgardian buildings a tad too distant compared to the original, while the waterfall behind Thor looks more prominent compared to Del Mundo’s artwork.
With this Thor cosplay, fazgardian not only gets to do a homage that blurs the line between comic art and photography. Marshaling the cosplay craftsmanship and digital artistry of his co-creators, he is able to offer a tribute that every fan of the God of Thunder can also enjoy and love.
