The Social Distancing Project all started with a tweet from Meg Zukin (ByMeg), and is now a full site that posts anonymous stories about couples, family members, and friends stuck together in self-imposed isolation due to COVID-19.

It was very quick! I was talking about this with my therapist—I was saying, “oh, by the way, I made this website, yada yada.” We arrived at the conclusion that I had so much anxiety that I was channeling it all into working instead of sitting with it.I think that the Coronavirus pandemic has really triggered a lot of other mental health things for myself and other people.

I feel like when it first started, it was relationship drama between couples. But it’s expanded to relationships between all co-habitating humans now. I’m in my apartment. It's not huge, just a one bedroom. My boyfriend luckily is a gamer, so that occupies a lot of his time because he's in grad school and currently on spring break.
