There is no interest on the part of Republican Pennsylvania legislators to make any changes to lax gun laws.

Another day, another school shooting that has destroyed countless lives and leaves a community in tatters. This time, it is Madison , Wisconsin. Tomorrow it could be our cities.

Efforts to reign in the use of guns intended for and used for the slaughter of human beings is all but certain to take a big hit with the pro-gun administration that is to take office next month and there is no interest on the part of Republican Pennsylvania legislators to make any changes to lax gun laws. The only defense that is viable to protect students, then, is to beef up security.

I do not understand why sports stadiums that seat tens of thousands of people are able to ensure that firearms are kept out, but we are unable to keep guns out of schools. It will be expensive to provide a heavy layer of security in schools, but we have no choice. No pupil or parent should have to worry about whether the child will come home from school safely each day.If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
