Kevin McCarthy is still big mad. At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee this week, he had a run-in with his infamous archnemesis, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz. The two adult men were quick to throw barbs at one another in yet another episode of “unhinged” behavior at the RNC.
It started on Tuesday when McCarthy was being interviewed by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins and Gaetz attempted to interrupt the former House speaker. “Hey Kevin, what night are you speaking?” Gaetz jabbed at him. Gaetz continued trying to distract McCarthy. “If you took that stage, you would get booed off of it,” he added.. McCarthy initially ignored Gaetz, but the 59-year-old former House speaker was determined to get the last word.
