In 1973, my girlfriend at the time, Diane Sims, brought me to meet her parents for the first time. They took me to their basement where they showed me something breathtaking. Diane’s father had six antique Buicks, all in pieces. The oldest was a 1906 Model F, and the youngest was a 1915 Buick. Diane had inherited her father’s passion for cars. She had purchased a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 250SL when the car was two years old.
