This new Netflix show chronicles grim lives of 'Hype House' stars

In between fake weddings and staged proms, 'Hype House' accidentally memorializes the real, human suffering of its teen celebrities.

Social media influencer Nikita Dragun is one of the stars of Netflix’s new reality show “Hype House.”I’d thrown on an episode of the new reality show because it was trending and because, honestly, I love trash. If you’ve never heard of the Hype House, congratulations! Your brain has space for things like chess, algebraic geometry and understanding what your health insurance covers. Sadly, my brain can conquer none of these because I consume dreck like this.

The show manufactures a lot of typical reality show drama — relationships, fights, etc. — that is laughably ridiculous. It’s an awful show, stacked with tired reality show cliches.
