Even the food will have a special theme this year. With the war in Ukraine and the crisis at the Southern border bringing the plight of refugees to public attention, Hudson West has partnered with the Welcome Home Jersey City organization to bring in refugee chefs who’ll serve specialty dishes from their native countries.
The Hudson West Fest returns to Downtown Jersey City’s Nimbus Arts Center on Saturday, Sept. 23, to prove once again that folk music can be as gloriously weird, diverse, exciting and meaningful as the talented people who play it.
Eight performers from across the U.S. will – in the words of Hudson West president George “Gidge” Miller -- “blow your socks off.” The festival promises forays into Americana and traditional folk, as well as gospel and soul, New Orleans jazz, and traditional Celtic music.
