This Morning staff were ‘frustrated’ finding out Holly Willoughby had quit This Morning staff were reportedly left ‘in tears’ after Holly Willoughby unexpectedly announced she would be leaving the show. Back in May, Phillip Schofield, 61, stepped down from the ITV breakfast programme after admitting to lying about an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a much younger colleague. Then, last weekend, Holly 42, also announced she was leaving, saying it was a ‘difficult goodbye’.
Aside from the exit of the show’s two stars, staff also got caught up in the public backlash that came after accusations Holly, 42, and Phillip, 61, jumped the queue to see the late Queen lying in state at Westminster Hall last year, before their fallout and his eventual affair admission. They have also been questioned as part of the current external review into the show, which was ordered after Phillip’s admission about lying to his bosses.
