This Morning’s programmes editor has said that the team want to hire a black presenter to bring more diversity to the series
, Frizell has said, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement and with increased focus on improving diversity, this needs to become more permanent.He said: ‘There is not a black presenter on any of the programmes today. We plan to change that, we [This Morning] are looking into it.’But a source added that this could spell the beginning of the end of the much-loved Holly and Phillip, who have vowed to stick together.
She also proved a hit after taking Holly’s place alongside Phillip in 2018 when his resident partner-in-crime hostedAlison Hammond is also a beloved regular segment host on the show, becoming an interviewer to the stars thanks to her bubbly nature and her banter with a-listers. This Morning has been running since 1988, initially hosted by Richard and Judy before being taken over by Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton.
