This Montreal-Based Shoe Brand is Going Vegan

Yesterday, the Canadian shoe designer committed to producing 100% vegan consumer products going forward, beginning with their Spring 2019 collection. Call It Spring’s vice president Monia Atijas explained in a statement how there was a focus placed on making vegan shoes more accessible to consumers, which she deemed to be an important factor when developing this new footwear collection.

Call It Spring wants to make it easier for consumers to identify vegan products by printing a “V” on all shoe soles and boxes. Theiralso features more information on their vegan shoes, and the processes behind their production. With the brand’s shift towards sustainability, they hope to better the environment and increase accessibility to animal-friendly options without compromising on style. Consumers are demanding sustainable practices from fast-fashion brands, and, as part of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, Call It Spring has taken it upon themselves to meet these growing expectations.
