Architect Pérez Palacios has unveiled a new L.A. abode designed to make the most of the West Coast's sunny climate. The pad is priced at $2.7 million.

Working with simple materials meant the studio could go all-out with fixtures and appliances. The chef’s kitchen, for example, is decked out with a Fisher & Paykel gas stove and other state-of-the-art equipment. There’s also a Bertazzoni cooktop in the adjacent apartment. In addition, the entire house is equipped with a Lutron smart lighting system.
