After dating long distance for three years, it was on a trip to Washington D.C. for Avriel’s 28th birthday that Erin proposed—with the Hillwood Estate’s Japanese Garden as a backdrop. The proposal was private, just for the two of them. “But [my whole family] knew it was happening," remembers Avriel."Erin had everyone on standby to FaceTime. He actually got a stranger to film our proposal by pretending to be taking photos of us.
