Mr Johnson has a majority of 80 in the Commons but is now so discredited among his colleagues that he is clinging to office.The resignations of Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid will have shocked the PMHe may stay in No 10 for longer than his critics believe possible.
One of his supposed superpowers is not caring what people think.This is the endgame, though. Too many ministers and Tory backbenchers have lost faith in Boris Johnson’s competence and integrity. They feel they can no longer defend him. There will be more resignations. The only question now is how long it takes.
