Customer deliveries of the new Corvette Z06 kicked off just a few months ago and as we had long expected, the mid-engined car has received plenty of praise and already established itself as a serious supercar that can rival even the very best from Europe.
Key to the car’s appeal is its motorsport-derived 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated flat-plane crank V8 that churns out 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. This makes it the most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 ever fitted to a production vehicle and is enough to send the car to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and through to a 188 mph top speed. It can also rocket down the quarter-mile in just 10.6 seconds.
