Alabama football defensive coordinator Kane Wommack has worked with Kalen DeBoer before. Here's what Wommack believes is DeBoer's superpower.
The two also spent time coaching together at Indiana in 2019 as the two coordinators. Then DeBoer went to Fresno State, and Wommack would soon become South Alabama’s coach in 2021.
It doesn’t sound like DeBoer has changed much since their Indiana days, despite two head coaching jobs and one national championship appearance. “One of the things that has always impressed me about Kalen is, whether you’re game planning, or hanging out on your back porch at the pool, or you’re in the fourth quarter in the middle of a big game, he’s the same guy,” Wommack said. “That is a superpower.”“Loved my time at South Alabama,” Wommack said. “I enjoyed being a head coach.
