That is why so many leaders of this city, including people from very different political backgrounds, rushed to come together to oppose the propositions, with our former mayors taking the lead.When we asked, Rawlings and Miller said they made multiple attempts to get Johnson involved in the campaign. He initially didn’t respond. Then he responded by forwarding themwith council member Cara Mendelsohn.
She texted him on Oct. 17 the following: “Just tried to call you. We would really like you to be there on Saturday please. Thanks, Laura.”“You’re an interesting lady, Laura. Bless your heart,” Johnson responded.
