25 years after Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, one of the biggest mysteries about Anakin Skywalker that remains in Star Wars may finally be revealed in Ahsoka season 2. Anakin Skywalker's Star Wars timeline has dominated the franchise for decades, yet there are still many things that make no sense about Anakin. Perhaps for that reason, his story has continued to expand even after the Skywalker Saga came to a close with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Related Mortis Gods Explained: Star Wars History, Powers, Planet & Importance The Mortis gods are some of Star Wars’ most powerful Force-wielders, and Dave Filoni is using them to unite The Clone Wars, Rebels, and now Ahsoka. This seems especially true given the Father is a canonical being in Star Wars who already embodied balance in the Force before his death at the end of this Clone Wars arc. Surely, if anyone was going to have a firm grasp of the true definition of balance, it would have been him. It's also worth noting, the Mortis Gods representing the light, the dark, and balance does suggest the Jedi interpreted the prophecy incorrectly by assuming the dark side had to be destroyed.
