Ahead of the season two premiere on Sept. 12, ET has an exclusive first look at an all-new teaser and key art for the groundbreaking, acclaimed series created, written by and starring Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, who are both deaf.
“Being deaf is a messy thing. Not only does it means different things to different people, for me sometimes it means different things daily,” Stern told ET about creating a sexy and complicated series about adulting. “So we went about handling our show the same way.”-- now expanded to eight episodes -- Kate and Michael are trying to reboot their friendship after emotions got the best of them at the end of season one.
In addition to returning guest stars, Zach Gilford, Colt Prattes, Marlee Matlin, Cheryl Hines, Nyle DiMarco and Moshe Kasher, season two welcomes Marcia Cross, Camryn Manheim, Steven Weber, Austin Nichols, Lisa Rinna, Margaret Cho andThis Close when the series was first renewed. “We couldn't have done this without our brilliant team, and are thrilled to dive back into this story.
In a separate interview, Feldman explained that he and Stern have plans for five seasons. “We know exactly how the show is going to end,” he said. “So hopefully we get there.”returns Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. PT with back-to-back episodes.
