Updated: Oct. 03, 2024, 1:35 p.m.It’s not often I find a weird attraction I haven’t already written about, but I just discovered something anyone with a roadside oddity bucket list needs to see: An oversized, bubble gum-pink Dolly Parton bust made of chicken wire.
It was apparently installed during the pandemic in 2020, which could be why I missed it. I noticed several folks on the internet called it “tacky,” but it’s Nashville and it’s Dolly – would you have it any other way? I would define it as clever and fun and wonderfully weird. This chicken-wire bust of Dolly Parton is located at White Limozeen, the rooftop bar at The Graduate Hotel in Nashville. The artwork was created by Ricky Pittman, the same artist who made a giant chicken-wire bust of Grand Ole Opry star Minnie Pearl for her hometown in Centerville, Tenn.Dolly is located on the patio of a rooftop bar, White Limozeen
, in The Graduate Hotel in Nashville, referred to in hotel literature as a “larger-than-life creation that is the best photo-opp in the city.” The Graduate is a chain of college-themed hotels by Hilton that features bespoke local décor, including furniture, wall art, wallpaper, tile and pretty much everything. The Graduate in Nashville is located near Vanderbilt University but, unlike most other locations, this hotel doesn’t focus only on collegiate décor but taps into Nashville’s country music roots., the same artist who made a giant chicken-wire bust of Grand Ole Opry star Minnie Pearl for her hometown in Centerville, Tenn.
