Jean-Philippe Sanfourche was drawn to natural motifs: horses, flowers, cherries, leaves, and so on. “I didn’t want their subject matter to add any aesthetic value to the pieces, so I chose to use things that we live with,” Sanfourche tells. Yet the designs are distinctly Sanfourche’s. “I had in mind something between a poster and a wallpaper, meaning something frontal and autonomous, but also ornamental and repetitive.
