With her cosmetics brand, Jamie Makeup, Greenberg just launched, a two-in-one product that doubles as a cream blush and highlighter. For now, it comes in three shades: The Pink One, The Nude One, and The Cherry One . In their pan, they might look similar to your standard cream blush with some shimmer, but as Greenberg explains, that's not the case at all.
"In the market when I was looking, every blush that did have a shimmer in it was very disco ball, or it had a lot of really big pieces of glitter in it; then it kind of becomes almost costumey," she tells. "When I was formulating this, I wanted [my clients'] skin to look like it was youthful and I didn't want it to look like they were wearing makeup."
To remedy that, Greenberg decided it was better to infuse color into a highlighter formula with fine shimmer pigments that are barely detectable — it looks more like a wet sheen than it does sparkle. "It really does make your skin look juicy, so to speak," she says.To get that "juicy skin," Greenberg has a simple step-by-step process. Apply the product as one of the very last steps of your makeup routine or on bare skin for your minimal makeup days.
As long as you stick to blending the product upward, you'll never have to worry about overdoing it on Blighlighter. "When [products] go downwards, they tend to drive the face down," Greenberg explains.
