Glendale, Arizona is planning to rename itself after Taylor Swift for two days to celebrate the singer's tour starting in the city on March 17
, the mayor of Glendale is expected to read a proclamation on Monday to make the renaming official.
The city reportedly came up with the idea to do “something highly unusual” to show Swift its appreciation for kicking off herThe city’s celebration will include welcome messages hung throughout the city’s entertainment district. Local restaurants also will highlight Swift-themed items on their menus.
