Most notably, Carr created a “flying staircase” for the foyer, in which two flights meet at a central landing and form a single flight that looks as if it’s floating. “Arthington Hall offers a classical facade behind which lies a family house suitable for modern living, all set in an outstanding landscape,” adds Stoyle.
