'I want to show girls that they are loved and respected, no matter what they were going through.' Alanna Wall has provided nearly 20,000 manicures to young girls.
At the age of 10, Alanna started, a non-profit aimed at bringing "sparkle to the lives of girls with special needs or frequent hospitalizations by bringing the trendiest nail art parties to them, while teaching them the importance of hand washing to reduce infection rates and repeated hospital admissions.", Alanna shared that she had helped 600 girls and she hoped that number would eventually increase.
The memories of manicures she's given to clients have often stuck with her and she said that she finds herself recalling the time spent with clients "long after the polish is over." While each manicure has been a milestone for Alanna, there are some moments that have proved especially memorable.
