AFLW: The Kangaroos look likely to finish the AFLW season undefeated after another win this time against the Adelaide Crows.

Richmond dual All-Australian Eilish Sheerin has been sent directly to the AFLW tribunal for making intentional contact with an umpire … even though she didn’t make direct contact.

In the lead-up to the incident, Sheerin was seen essentially using the umpire as a barrier at two ball-ups. As the umpire moved backwards after throwing the ball up to recommence play, Sheerin pushed Nanscawen to the other side of the whistleblower in an attempt to create separation from her opponent.

Despite the umpire quickly jumping up to their feet post-contact, the Match Review Officer deemed Sheerin’s actions as a reportable offence.
